Default Can't listen music with Guayadeque MP

Hello guys. I just downloaded this highly recommended music player called 'Guayadeque' but I have a problem: I can't play music with it.

I go to some song, right-click it, then a select the 'open with' option, but it doesn't show 'Guayadeque' anywhere on the list; not even expanding it with 'show other applications'. I don't know why.

If someone knows how can I fix that I would appreciate it. Thanks.

How did you get the player ?
How did you install it ?
What is your DE (KDE,GNOME,LXDE,XFCE,E17) ?
What is the version of openSUSE you are using ?
What is the architecture (32/64) ?

I read about it in sourceforge and got it directly from the package manager (exactly from the packman repo).
    I'm using XFCE.
    I'm using openSUSE 12.2.
    My system is 32 bits.

    Hope it helps. Thank you.

I am not using XFCE, but the logic seems to be the same for me.

When you install a GUI package, it will most probably show up in one of the submenus of the main menu (in this case Multimedia), thus you can normaly start it from there.
But to have some association with a file type (e.g. when you "click" on a file, or when it is offered by a web server), you have to configure. After all, your desktop can not "know" with which program you want to play an MP3 (to take it as an example.

In KDE System settings, there is an item called File associations. There you can define programs for different types of files and also their priority (in your case first Guayadequ, then Amarok, etc.) Search for a similar thing in XFCE.

Guayadeque seems to be a music manager. Dump all your oggs,mps3s etc into ~/Music folder and then scan the folder and then open your music collection and play it
