    Default 12.3 no app..yet

If i want to install a program in 12.3 that has no repo...yet, would it be better to use a factory or tumbleweed version?

Right now, tumbleweed and 12.3 are the same, so in theory it should work.

But you might mention which app it is.

No, it would be better to wait, or go back to whatever you were using
    before. :-P

Or make yourself that app you need :-)

No, because tumbleweed is empty at the moment. No packages :-)

O.K. youse guys how about a little consensus here on what's right. I was afraid someone would tell me to wait. The app is amdovdrvctrl: software.opensuse.org: which allows you to change gpu and memory speeds. I have an Ausus card video card which is slightly overclocked by default and I like to restore it to reference Amd speeds.

    Hi
Just ask the repo owner to add the 12.3 build target, else grab the src
    rpm and build locally.

    Too late.

I'm sure there will be a 12.3 repo eventually, but I used tumbleweed here already and it followed exactly the same process that it did in 12.2 including what the dependencies were. There were four extra files. I suppose there could be some version conflicts there but for now it's working and I seem to be fine.

I tried building once a while back before I found it in the repos and failed.

    Thanks for the replies.

m-/ Of course, that's what "no packages" means. Silly me.
