Default On Suse 12.2 Need Application

I am on Suse 12.2 and I can't find a File Wiper, File Shredder on any of the respositories. Anybody know where I can get an RPM, since I don't know how to compile software. I know I should have learned by now, I just don't have any reason to learn how to compile. Sorry.

    Shred is available.

However, forget it, it does not _really_ work. This is documented, it is
a feature of current filesystems and disks.

Also, is common to use the utility dd to simply write zeroes or a string of your choice across your entire empty space. By over-writing all empty space, you make it difficult to recover deleted files using typical recovery "undelete" apps.

So for instance from my notes, the second method is faster for larger amounts of free space

    Code:
    # wiping free space - create a file filled with zeroes, then delete
    cat /dev/zero > Filename.txt
    rm Filename.txt

    dd if=/dev/zero of=zero.small.file bs=1024 count=102400
    cat /dev/zero > zero.file
    rm zero.small.file
    rm zero.file

Have not used this tool... and may not be what you are after. But this is
supposedly a disk wiper.. if that's interesting:
