Annoying message during logout

Hello all,

Since a couple of days, KDE shows a very annoying messagebox when I log out from KDE: "Fetch job" "Unknown error".
I have to click on it in order to proceed to log out.

I use openSUSE 12.2 with KDE 4.8.5.

I would like to show the content of ~/.xsession-errors but the forum says:
"The following errors occurred with your submission: The text that you have entered is too long (36677 characters). Please shorten it to 15000 characters long"
and I'm not allowed to post attachements.

How do I get rid of this message when I log out from KDE?

Looks like some program is working on something. Did you recently try new software?
You could use "grep" to limit the size of data to post, like

cat ~/.xsession-errors | grep etch

What are the KDE session settings? See Systemsettings - search for "Session". Try starting with an empty session, see if that improves things.

I'll split the content of .xsession-errors into three parts:

/etc/X11/xim: Checking whether an input method should be started.
sourcing /etc/sysconfig/language to get the value of INPUT_METHOD
INPUT_METHOD is not set or empty (no user selected input method).

I too had this issue on both my desktop and laptop for a while, perhaps 11.4 but for sure 12.1.

I believe it was Kmail related - there was a small Kmail-ish icon on the Error Message Box.
I do not use Kmail.

I chose to ignore it, and now realize that after recent updates to KDE 4.10 it no longer occurs!

I solved it by login with a non root user (as akonadi requires) stopped akonadi, started akonadi and did akonadictl vacuum.
After that the message appeared anymore.
