    That only works if the audio CDs are in fact data CDs with audio tracks.

    For those interested, I've found the perfect audio player: mpd (from Packman essentials) + ncmpcpp (From Packman multimedia).

    .... and has the advantage of continuing to run when you're inside a virtual console even if you log in in a different user.
