    hello dear Gentlemen,


    running HP Pavillon DV 9643 EG 17 with Linux Open Suse 12.2
    Well - all is nice - but i do not know how to adjust the brightness of the screen.

    This is really anoying - what should i do here!?

    BTW; do you think that a closer look at the

    /usr/bin/nvidia-settings


    would help here?

    This is in KDE - more programmes....

    I'm running the probable ancestor to your machine, a dv9500.

    One primary method to modify display brightness are the hardware keys, fn-f7 and fn-f8.

    If you're running KDE, the other place to modify is the Power Settings

    AppLauncherButton(lowerleftcorner) >Configure Desktop>Power Management
