Thread: 12.2: Missing man pages?

    Default 12.2: Missing man pages?

Hi. I've noticed on OpenSuSE 12.2 that some man pages appear to be missing. For example, there no longer appears to be a page for /etc/exports. Normally this would be in section 5. Has it been deprecated? (If so, what has taken its place?) Am I missing one or more packages?

    Code:
    pion:~> zypper pa | grep page | grep "^i"
    i | openSUSE-12.2-1.6 | man-pages | 3.41-2.1.1 | noarch
    i | openSUSE-12.2-Oss | man-pages | 3.41-2.1.1 | noarch
    i | openSUSE-12.2-1.6 | man-pages-posix | 2003a-22.1.1 | noarch
    i | openSUSE-12.2-Oss | man-pages-posix | 2003a-22.1.1 | noarch
    Thanks.

Gah. I could have sworn I'd installed the NFS server package but apparently not. Problem solved.

Don't be ashamed. It is typical to find out a solution after describing
the problem in writing and posting it - happened to me more than once :-)
