Default plasma crashes on startup (12.2/KDE)

    Hi,

yesterday while browsing with firefox on amazon, suddenly plasma crashed: no panel, black backgound, no wlan.

since then plasma doesn't come up any more.
after reboot or login, KDE needs very long and is then presenting a window with a crash message mentioning a bus error. no panel, black background.
since I have a terminal open,I can start applications - they are running. (except wlan and bluetooth; I have to use LAN)

I tried to update to KDE 4.9, reinstalled all packages of the system, no change

    The backtrace is as follows:

    Paul,

Can you try logging in with IceWM

You need autologin disabled - please tell me you don't have autologin?

If you have autologin on, we need to do something else, let me know.

Once we get to IceWM, I'll advise on what to do

does it make a difference if I logoff from kde and login via ICEWM?

I'm not sure if you can get to a point of being logged out or if you can get to change the setting permanently:
    https://forums.opensuse.org/english/...uto-login.html

But if you can login to IceWM we can do some work from there.
If you get there, just a pointer... Right click on the desktop will get you a menu

    I just solved it:
after loging out from kde I removed as root from console
    /var/tmp/kdecache-<user>
    /tmp/kde-<user>

now I am missing bluetooth, but I will open a new thread for that

    thanks for your efforts anyway!!
