    Default [opensuse12.2]Anybody know what repo (if any) has mhonarc

    I use alpine as my email client. For most of my mail I strongly prefer it's
    text interface. (never met a gui email client I really liked) I also use
    fetchmail to download one of my email accounts from a popserver. 99% of the
    time this works. But there are a few family members who send html mail with
    embedded images, that are best viewed inline. Some time ago {With help from
    someone on an alpine mailing list} I cobbled together an external
    script/filter that {when alpine pipes such a message through it} uses
    mhonarc and Firefox to view the message the way the sender (usually my
    sister) intended.

    Well I just got one while running my opensuse 12.2 desktop installation.
    And that led to the discovery that:
    Code:
    ==================
    ~
    UnderTree=-> zypper se mhonarc
    Loading repository data...
    Reading installed packages...
    No packages found.
    ~
    UnderTree=->
    ==================
    If it matters:

    Code:
    ==================
    ~
    UnderTree=-> zypper lr

    Could someone point me at a repo with mhonarc in it?

    { dislike having to reboot into another distro to view it...}

    Hi
    Install webpin from openSUSE:Tools;
    Code:
    webpin mhonarc
    2 results (2 packages) found for "mhonarc" in openSUSE_122
    * MHonArc: An e-mail-to-HTML converter
    - 2.6.18.3.1 [server:mail]
    * perl-CGI-ContactForm: Generate a web contact form
    - 1.50.4.1 [devel:languages:perl:CPAN-C]
    Or use http://software.opensuse.org/package...h_term=mhonarc

    the others already gave you the fish, here is a tool you can use to
    catch one (or find a repo) on your own:

    -go to http://software.opensuse.org/search

    -click on the tool icon to the right of the "Search" button

    -click to check mark the "Show development, language and debug packages"

    -spin the "Show distribution:" window to your version

    -type mhonarc (or whatever) in the search block

    -click the "Search" button

    -select the fish you want and reel in your catch! by clicking a 1-Click
    install button

    note: during any 1-Click install you are asked if you wish to keep any
    added repo(s) installed after the selected package(s) is(are)
    installed...i usually advise it is best to follow the instructions in
    the paragraph beginning with "IMPORTANT" in http://tinyurl.com/33qc9vu,
    which would mean to either answer the "do you want to keep" question as
    no, _or_ disable the newly added repos after the install (using either
    YaST Software Repositories or zypper)..

    which is what i do..

    also, to save a few microseconds during updates i do not refresh any
    repos i've not enabled (like your repos numbered 4, 5, 6 and 9) nor do i
    update those repos which _never_ change, like 7 and 8..

    This is exactly what I asked for... Thanks!

    Hmmmnnn Not just a fish dinner, but a tutorial on how to catch my own fish...
    Thanks!

    One thing though, perhaps I misunderstood the above? It looks like

    # wbbpin mhonarc

    is an root CLI ???

    But:
    Code:
    -------------------------
    /etc
    UnderTree=-> zypper search webpin
    Loading repository data...
    Reading installed packages...

    S | Name                  | Summary                              | Type
    --+-----------------------+--------------------------------------+--------
    i | yast2-packager-webpin | YaST2 - Webpin package search client | package
    /etc
    UnderTree=-> zypper if yast2-packager-webpin
    Loading repository data...
    Reading installed packages...

    Information for package yast2-packager-webpin:

    Repository: openSUSE-12.2-Oss
    Name: yast2-packager-webpin
    Version: 2.22.6-2.1.2
    Arch: x86_64
    Vendor: openSUSE
    Installed: Yes
    Status: up-to-date
    Installed Size: 42.5 KiB
    Summary: YaST2 - Webpin package search client
    Description:
    This package contains a client for searching packages in online repositories
    (webpin) and installing them via OneClickInstall
    /etc
    UnderTree=-> webpin mhonarc
    webpin: command not found
    /etc
    UnderTree=->
    -------------------------
    Where am I supposed to type the "webpin mhonarc" part???

    I think malcolmlewis tried to do that with the suggestion about webpin...
    But I had trouble with it...

    Your instructions for using:

    > -go to http://software.opensuse.org/search

    Were not only detailed, but they worked like a charm.

    Though if webpin is supposed to work from the command line I might like it
    better...

    Yup, that makes sense to me to.

    I've thought about it... But I figure that if I leave refresh on, I'm more
    likely to be warned if a repo becomes unstable because I expect I'd get
    some kind of error message when I zypper ref (Which I tend to do even if
    auto-refresh is enabled... I can afford a few microseconds here and
    there...

    But in any case, Thanks!

    I could see that from your first post Malcolm, my problem is when I
    searched in zypper for it I found:

    "zypper se webpin" said:
    > i | yast2-packager-webpin | YaST2 - Webpin package search client | package

    And unless I'm mistaken that "i" indicates it's installed...

    Yet when I type it in a terminal (kde's konsole as a matter of fact)
    regardless of whether it's a user shell or a root shell I type it from. all
    I get is:

    "webpin mhonarc" said:
    > webpin: command not found

    Ah well, as much as I'd like to be able to run such searches from the
    command line, at least DD's browser based method works for me...
    Code:

    Hi
    That webpin is not functional, webpin has been resurrected (well
    re-written) and lives in the openSUSE:Tools repository
