Default Right program to use to increase volume on a video (.avi) file

    Hello all,

I have a .avi file that was made of the talk given by a dinner speaker for a charity event I was at. I'd like to post it on the web, but you can't hear the speaker well. I'd like to increase the volume of the sound in the .avi. What program should I do this with? I believe it can be done with Virtualdub in Windows, but what would be the best program for opensuse? Thanks

Hi, You could use avidemux. See, e.g. using:audio_filters [Avidemux wiki] on how to increase the gain. HTH Lenwolf
