    Default opensuse starts without kde desktop - why

    Suddenly my opensuse 12.2 is starting without kde desktop. Now it looks like ? debian ? How to bring back the kde desktop ? Many thanks for any help.

    So when you start openSUSE, there are two major parts. First is the loading of the kernel and basic system applications and second is your selected desktop, such as KDE. Can you manually select KDE, or do you mean you are stuck in terminal, with no graphic desktop? Did you make any updates or graphic changes before this problem popped up?

    Please @ecodata, first look at what is the most fitting (sub) forums before starting a thread. You will then have the best chance that people can at least understand you and also have some knowledge about your subject.
