Further to caf4926's advice, I can see Larry has has some experience with this hardware issue. He reported it here:

Re: Strange behavior with rtl8192se (Linux Wireless)

So, he should be able to advise better than I can, but you'll need to be patient.

    I have try 12.2 live but i can't initialize wifi card. ???
I buy an TP-LINK TL-WN727N at 7€ almost 5$ and plug it and .... everythings works perfect
so it is not a rights problem or if it is , it's only for this driver rtl8192se
    look like a big bug
I deactivate mother board chipset and now i am connected with this perfect and cheap wireless usb !!

    regards

EDIT : could you contact the man of the link in the above post ?

I suspected that might be the case, hence my repsonse in post #52 concerning your original wireless device using the rtl8192se chipset.
so it is not a rights problem or if it is , it's only for this driver rtl8192se
Well you definitely have a hardware issue, but right from the start, you also had issues with your root password. W relaxed the permissions to get around that, but separate issue.
    look like a big bug
An issue with the driver, or the way that the hardware works that the driver is not yet coping with perhaps.
I deactivate mother board chipset and now i am connected with this perfect and cheap wireless usb !!
    Good news!

you might wait a LONG time in the applications forum with already 61 post...

he is a busy guy....i could be wrong, but i think he would MUCH rather
see a new post to the wireless forum <http://tinyurl.com/4lq2s9z>, which
follows all the suggestions in the _three_ stickies at the top of that
forum on what information to include in the thread originating post..

there is absolutely no sense in him being forced wading though this
whole thread to get to the meat...anyway, i'd guess he might read some
minutes and decide to do something else....

if you wish you could reference this thread
<http://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php?t=478694> but don't use it as
a shortcut to not put the wireless info needed (as described in the
    stickies) into the new post.
