opensuse v12.1

Occasionally (twice in the last 4-5 weeks) a user's workstation has spontaneously logged out without warning and with a number of applications running. A brief (less than a minute) login screen was offered, then the system rebooted.

This is undesirable behavior.

One of the applications was VirtualBox. If a VM is open, Vbox normally prevents logout to allow the application to be closed properly. Not in this case.

It appears to be a problem with VirtualBox although the following excerpt from /var/log/messages is not exactly clear that it caused a shutdown.
