Thread: Generating additional locals

    Default Generating additional locals

    Hello

I am porting software that needs additional locales in order to built. I don't see a locale.gen or anyway to generate locales.

are you doing that porting on your own machine...or perhaps on the
    openSUSE Build Service?

and, by porting do you mean from one Linux distro to another? or from
    (say) Mac/Windows/Arm/etc code to Linux/Intel/etc

[i'm guessing your question would be better placed not in our
applications forum, but in either of http://tinyurl.com/5v695w4 or
http://tinyurl.com/64xoegy....and, maybe you should ask a moderator to
move your Q to the place where you are more likely to find the answer
    you seek...]

I am working on compiling CDE on OpenSuse:
    https://sourceforge.net/projects/cdesktopenv/

For it to build, it needs these locales enabled:

    • de_DE.ISO-8859-1
    • es_ES.ISO-8859-1
    • fr_FR.ISO-8859-1
    • it_IT.ISO-8859-1
