Firefox Issues in 12.1

For the life of me I cannot get firefox to load a majority of websites - even sites that offer to tell you how to fix firefox issues.

I use chrome to down adobe flash player because firefox wouln't/couldn't open the adobe page, which flash player did not fix.

I like firefox and would like to use it.

Does anybody know how to make it work, or at least play nice with others?

Once you have run online updates, flash player will get installed as will the latest version of firefox.
You might also want to run the multimedia from this

I have completed all the steps you suggested and indeed, firefox did update to 13.0.
Chromium works great but firefox still produces "Firefox can't find the server at www.etcetc.com" when I try to navigate to most websites, including this forum.

Try renaming your hidden folder

.mozilla

to .mozilla-old

start firefox again.

And where might I find this file?

In your home directory. Basically if you open a shell and type cd without arguments it will take you to your home directory. It should be /home/username. To check type pwd.

By default when you use ll (two lower case L) it will not show "hidden"
files/folders.
