    Question Running X Apps from a Remote Term?

    Hi,

    Having problems successfully running X programs from my remote Putty. How do you solve the "Unable to open display" error message?

    OpenSuse 12.1 (3.1.9-1.4) x64, 7.7GB RAM, GNOME 3.2.1
    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz VT x 4

    Do I need to run a X Server on my Win7 like Xming or Cygwin/X just to run X apps?

    No, you need to use mobaxterm instead of putty :-)

    Actually, it includes an X server, that's the trick.
