    Exclamation Codeblocks gets stuck at closure.

    Hi there! I just started a day ago to get inside opensuse world. I'm currently using opensuse 11.4 which until now has been working very fine. ( I tested 12.1 it seems still to have stability issues). The problem is this:

    I installed codeblocks succesfully, i have no problem to make projects, work, compile, etc. But when i finish to work and close codeblocks, it asks if i want to save the layout, after i select save or cancel, it seems to close, but the program is still running. I checked this on the system monitor, and codeblocks never close and just stays there consuming 99 of my cpu percentage. In other words it gets stuck, no warnings or error messages. SO, anyone has met this kind of problem?

    Thanks to all in advance!!

    MORE INFORMATION:
    i did a test to see if it was a "super user" problem and it seems it its: if i run the next command:

    # xdg-su -c codeblocks

    It run normally and seems to close almost correctly, at closure it shows the next line:
    ** (codeblocks:26247): CRITICAL **: murrine_style_draw_flat_box: assertion `width >= -1' failed
    Nevertheless it doesn't get stuck.

    Maybe someone can help me to make this program run correctly without super user. Thanks!!

    I had the same problem on 12.1. Currently I use Anjuta instead, But I like Code::Blocks more, so I'll keep track on this thread if something shows up. Thanks!

    Hi,

    I used Code::Blocks on 11.4 for a year until about February 2010. Worked beautifully. Had to replace my hard disk and reinstalled 11.4 and Code::Blocks from scratch. Now I have the same problem as "dragonflylouis" on both 11.4 and 12.1 AMD 64 systems.

    Am using the devel:tools:ide
    • 7508 version

    Is there known fix?

    I would contact one of the maintainers
    http://tinyurl.com/coxf6dr
    and ask them if they know this problem and to provide a newer build in
    case the problem is already solved upstream.

    Found a fix:
    Don't install "codeblocks-contrib" or remove 'libFileManager.so' from /usr/codeblocks/plugins

    Thank you for posting how to solve it. This shows that most probably an
    updated build of the rpm would make the problem disappear
    filemanager.plugin (linux): fix for host-parameters in projectfile;
    workaround a hang on close or release of plugin, due to problems with
    gamin and/or kernel.
    is solved since build 7912
