Thread: Zypper unable to reach any repositories!

  1. #1

Default Zypper unable to reach any repositories!

I'm getting the error when I run "sudo zypper up":

    Code:
Failed to connect to 2001:67c:2178:8::13: Network is unreachable
    This is for every repository.

    I'm on openSUSE 12.1

What's going on, and how do I fix this?

EDIT: I disabled ipv6 (as suggested here: http://forums.opensuse.org/english/g...re-update.html ), restarted, and it still does not work!

Hey, now it works! Not sure if it's the ipv6 change or what, although it worked for months with ipv6 enabled, so no idea if it's related. Is it?

OK, so if I read that correctly, they're saying that the ipv4 perhaps failed because they were down and the ipv6 failed because I'm not set for ipv6 on my isp? (But my ISP is set for ipv6 and my router is set to use google's DNS). So I'm confused as to why I'm getting this error after months of no issues.

Retry till it works, or abort and try another day.

In the past days I've experimented some problems in refreshing the repositories ...
But now the problems seem to be solved ...

Nope. Just to test, I put ipv6 back on and I've set it to use Google's DNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) and it's not working. It still times out and say it cannot be reached.

Hmmm, maybe that's not it. Is anyone else having issues with it right now? Even after turning off ipv6 and restarting again, it's still not working!

BTW, when I try to load the url that it says is unreachable (but I load it in Firefox) it opens! It's only zypper that's not loading it! And when I do YAST2/Online Update, it seems to be able to load it but at a VERY, VERY slow 3K/s!

    What does this mean?
