throw this into the mix and _maybe_ we can get someone (with a budget
    and profit incentive) to act:

just now it took not less than three minutes to load the front page of
http://www.suse.com/ (which i wanted to see how they offer the the
latest SLE (to a couple of guys sweating trying to load 12.1 in
    install-boot-login)

the problem _must_ (in my feeble mind) be related.

clearing same in Chrome gave FAST loading..

personally i think it unreasonable that potential SUSE.com customers
(not to mention all us SLE_ 12-Alpha foundation layers/test rats) be
required to either take a coffee break OR clean out their browser..

[i just checked: it *is* possible to access www.redhat.com more than
once without having to nuke your history/cookies/etc]

    Could be.

That also goes to a virtual IP address.

So signs are consistently pointing to the L4 appliance. I heard late
yesterday that a replacement device purchase has most likely been
approved (I should know for sure on Monday), so the hardware that appears
to be causing the problem is slated for replacement.

It'll probably take a couple of weeks for it to be delivered, configured,
    tested, and installed.
