I’ve recently installed 12.1 64bit.
I did all the updates as of yesterday, but there’s one update that keeps coming up that can’t be updated because the package was not installed. Why would want to update a program that isn’t here?
It’s: opensuse 2012-202 hdjmod: fixed USB hotplugging
How can I stop it from looking for it?
I tried installing it so it would be there and I get this:
dave@linux-7sg4:~> su
Password:
linux-7sg4:/home/dave # zypper in hdjmod

‘hdjmod’ not found in package names. Trying capabilities.

Why would I get this update for a program that’s not there and you can’t install it?
Hi. Try this command:
zypper in -t patch openSUSE-2012-202
here’s what it said:
dave@linux-7sg4:~> su
Password:
linux-7sg4:/home/dave # zypper in -t patch openSUSE-2012-202
Retrieving repository ‘Packman Repository’ metadata [done]
Building repository ‘Packman Repository’ cache [done]

Patch ‘openSUSE-2012-202-1’ is not needed.
Resolving package dependencies…
Nothing to do.
linux-7sg4:/home/dave #
maybe this will fix it. Thanks.
today there was 23 more updates and everyone works except this hdjmod… it still comes up yet it doesn’t exist. How can I get it off the list? The command you gave me didn’t work.
Still no update on this bug?

Do not use apper, the standard recommendation is to remove it.
