    Default UNDO xkbmap settings??

There are plenty of posts on how to set keyboard maps with setxkbmap but I have no idea how that program works and I want to undo this command:
    Code:
    setxkbmap -option grp:switch,grp:alt_shift_toggle,grp_led:scroll us,ru
without having to read and research for six hours

I attempted to fix this problem and made it worse by running
    Code:
setxkbmap -rules xfree86 -model pc104 -layout us -option ""
And now when I press up at a command line it runs a paint program. Please help
