Thread: Can not sign to opensuse 12.1 via VNC from windows vista

Default Can not sign to opensuse 12.1 via VNC from windows vista

I did a fresh install of OpenSuse12.1, enabled remote admin (VNC) and opened related port in Firewall using Yast.

Was able to connect to OpenSuse 12.1 from Windows Vista using both vncviewer or browser:
    - Graphical login screen appeared in both cases
    - The vncviewer disapeared after entering my regular login and password
    - The browser will display below
Network error: remoted side closed connection

I googled, but found no clue.

Does any one know what could be the possible cause? Do I need to set up different login and pass for VNC?

The firewall should be fine (I even disbled firewall completedly on Opensuse 12.1, my Vista has no firewall as I am on a local lan), as I can see the login screen via VNC.

    Thanks for your help.
