Please notice that there is no “openSUSE 11”. There is SUSE 11 (ie, the
enterprise version), in which case this is the wrong forum, and openSUSE
11.0, 11.1, 11.2, 11.3, and 11.4, all completely different versions.

we don’t do programming homework here in the application’s forum…
home work is for you to do to learn.
- ask a classmate for help
- ask the instructor for help
- search supplied documentation
- see error: submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if
appropriate. instructions here: http://bugs.opensuse.org/
- if still required: post to where the programmers hang out (in the
programming forum: http://tinyurl.com/5v695w4) using the good advice
here: http://is.gd/2BfI3
