Thread: yast log viewer

  1. #1

    Default yast log viewer

Yast used to have a nice log viewer built right into it. Whatever happened to it? Is there a reasonable replacement or are we lessing and tailing the logs directly now?

    Best,

seems to have been missing for a while:

    http://forums.opensuse.org/english/g...se-11-3-a.html

though this (suppossedly current) doc says it is in YaST:
    http://doc.opensuse.org/documentatio....logfiles.view

i used once in YaST and then went back to using a root powered text
editor (GUI or CLI), or Midnight Commander, or less, or grep, or cat or
    or or....

if you miss it you could raise a bug (but i _guess_ its demise was
probably included in the release notes for 11.1 or 11.2)
