Thread: Kernel flavors question

    Default Kernel flavors question

    Hi again.

I heard from a friend's experiences and from other forums that desktop kernel had some bugs on openSUSE 12.1 (Youtube videos freezing the system, wireless device connecting and disconnecting, etc), and though I haven't got almost any weird functionality on my system until now, doubt just arouse on my head.

Then I reviewed the article here, and since I use a laptop just as my friend, it'd mean I should use either desktop or default flavors. So I wanted to ask, which kernel do you use or prefer? Is it true that desktop kernel has some bugs? My friend's system is 32-bit and mine is 64-bit, by the way.

Sorry if it's a silly question. Thanks for your help.

kernel-desktop on four machines at home (2 notebook, 1 netbook, 1 PC), I
also do not notice problems from the kernel on any of them.
