Default Unable to send emails on Evolution

This morning, for no apparent reason, Evolution was unable to send any of my emails. I checked on my laptop, where I have an Outlook Express account, and that is still working fine.
The version of Evolution I have is 2.32.1 and I have a Suse 11.4 operating system.
Previously, although I could send emails, there was always an error message, stating that there was an error sending email. However, all emails arrived safely.
Now I get the following error message: MAIL FROM command failed: Cancelled. So, when clicking SEND/RECEIVE, inbound emails arrive OK, but nothing goes out. I have tried flushing outbox, but nothing happens.
I have no changed anything in my settings. So do any of you have any idea of what is happening?
I would be grateful if you could assume very little knowledge of using Linux when responding. Many thanks.

Just had a second error message when trying to send.
MAIL FROM command failed. Refused (address not found). Please enable SMTP authentication to send mail.
Does that help? I stress, I have changed no settings!

I've solved the problem! The "server requires authentication" box had become unticked - it wasn't me. Putting it back unblocked the system... But why did it become unticked?

Difficult if not impossible to answer since we do not know your system
and what happened on it. Maybe an update which had this side effect?
    Code:
rpm -qa --last | grep -i evolution
does this command show a date which corresponds to the start of this
    behavior?

You didn't give Evolution any mince pies, did you? So it went into a
huff! Hopefully it'll be OK now it's got it out of its system.

It could be your ISP changed some setting at their end, but don't sweat
it unless it happens a lot.
