    Default owncloud 2 and mirall

Owncloud seems like a nice app, so I decided to try it with mirall from this page:
    SDBwnCloud - openSUSE

I used the one-click install button to install mirall. After that, I used mirall to create a new owncloud on my own laptop. This is the mirall output I got:
    Code:
Starting script owncloud-admin...Downloading owncloud source archive...
    Extracting archive...
Installing owncloud to local web server...

    Installation of ownCloud succeeded!
    creating local sync folder /home/bart/ownCloud
Starting initial fetch of ownCloud data...
Initial fetch of data failed: sitecopy: Fetching site `ownCloud' (on localhost in /owncloud/files/webdav.php/mirall/)
sitecopy: Error: Could not connect to server (localhost port 80).
But the dialog also says that owncloud is up and running. But opening owncloud in firefox gives an ' unable to connect', and mirall doesn't show any running ownclouds.

Can anyone give me some tips?

I am running opensuse tumbleweed (fresh install from 11.4 cd onto USB-stick, so I don't break anything on the harddisk)

Tumbleweed is based on the latest published = current release.
    That being today = 12.1.

So you can't really have an 11.4 Tumbleweed, except if you installed it
before the release of 12.1 and never updated anything since.

What kind of a CD did you install from, a Network CD or a Live one?

Don'tknow the answer to your question but I'd say you apparently have a
    mix of 11.4 tumbleweed and 12.1 - which is a no-no.

I had a 11.4 live KDE cd, which I installed onto a USB-stick. Then I changed repositories to tumbleweed and did a zypper dup. This is what My Computer says:

    Code:
    OS Information
    OS: Linux 3.1.0-1.2-desktop x86_64
      Current user: bart@linux-kxfy.site
      System: openSUSE 12.1 (x86_64)
      KDE: 4.7.2 (4.7.2) "release 5"

    So it says it's 12.1.
I guess you also changed all 11.4 repos to 12.1?
Or "Current", which is now = 12.1.

If you didn't you've got yourself a mixture which is bad.

    Yes, only 12.1 and tumbleweed.

    OK.
Since I know nothing about owncloud all I can say check if it is
actually running and open the port in firewall, looks like it's 80.

    Anything like it in top?

"sitecopy: Error: Could not connect to server (localhost port 80)"

Either it's not listening or the port is closed.

    Owncloud doesn't appear in top.
Yast tells me that is it installed.

The reason that I tried Mirall was because I don't have a working server, and this seemed to be a nice way to have owncloud without having to set up a server.

If you still have to set up a working apache server before you can use mirall/owncloud, it is of no use to me.
