Yes, those Orphaned packages actually are coming here: Install/Remove Software -> View -> Package Groups -> Orphaned Packages (in the left side)

    There is listed only package:

    openSUSE-release-livecd-kde

I guess I must remove it since a user (~linux) also got created in the /home (which I really didn't create).

that is VERY odd!! as was the "W95 Ext'd (LBA)"..

i didn't ask, but did you by chance install from a disk _not_ from
software.opensuse.org, it kinda sounds like you didn't get the
default/standard kind of give-it-the-entire-disk install, in several
    strange ways..

the good news is that once you have installed and run update it should
be golden...but, you can learn a lot by reading through the good stuff

and, this will help keep your system stable: do not overlook the

I installed openSUSE from 11.4 KDE Live CD. But I don't how to install from software.opensuse.org.... Apart from it, while installation, while I was trying to allocate the full space to let take suse from itself, but I really might have missed something (I don't know what) since I created the three partitions manually, here.

The "W95 Ext'd (LBA)" is not odd at all, is normal. Probably all my disks
have that. It is the standard extended partition type.

where did you get the 11.4 KDE Live CD install disk from?? that is, did
you download an iso image from software.opensuse, or maybe someone gave
you the disk and/or it was with a magazine?
