    Hi
    What version of openSUSE and kernel flavor (uname -a) are you wanting it for? It needs to be built as a kernel module via rpm....

    Hi
    OK, a couple of things, to use the manufacturers scripts to build an
    rpm the command to run is;
    Code:
    ../makerpm
    It will fail unfortunately because the driver only supports kernel
    version <= 2.6.30 so the code needs updating for the 3.1 kernel
    http://www.silabs.com/Support%20Docu...ease_Notes.txt

    Maybe in the first instance an email to the manufacturer may glean some
    information as to where they are at since it's been June 2009 since it
    was updated.

    Hi
    If you don't have any luck, one of the USB kernel developers hangs out
    here (greg kh) who may be able to help, or contacting the usb mailing
    list as they may be able to help. For this just email
    linux-usb@vger.kernel.org with the issue.

    I could probably hack around to figure out the changes but that may
    taking longer than getting help of the mailing list.
