    Hello there,
    I want to know that which is the folder that holds my packages. Currently I am trying to install netbeans but can't find the already installed JDK!!

    rpm -ql packagename

    shows you all the files contained in a package. The system JDK package is probably something like java-1_6_0-openjdk-devel

    Hi, if you've installed the sun jdk, it's most probably under /usr/java, the openjdks are under /usr/lib64/jvm .
