suspend cannot wake up

Hello, I installed openSUSE 11.3 X64 in my notebook. And each time when it suspended, the system cannot wake up, it just staked there. In the flashed terminal window, it said:

number of errors: 0
skipped probes: 8
[3304.710017]: done

and it cannot return back to GUI window. each time I have to restart my computer by force.

Does anyone have any advice?

Hello… Noob here… I have openSUSE 12.1 x64… Gnome3… HP Compaq Presario CQ60… NVidia graphics 8200m.
I too have to force power down and start my laptop from suspend.
Screen comes on after suspend but is blank. I will say that even windows had problems with restart when computer had windows.

Problem with suspend to disk and s2ram…Same usb3 problem, like 11.4.

Have you tried to boot with idle=poll? It’s not a long term solution but it might help debug.

I hade problems like yours with openSUSE 11.4 and nvidia g105m. With openSUSE 12.1 the problem disappeared.

I use Nvidian NVS 3100. It is OK in the initial days after installation. And I don’t know when it doesn’t work well, and what happen…?
