I decided run my screen with HDMI. I do not know why but my fonts was huge more or less everywhere after reboot. I had to go to Configure desktop, Application appearance, Fonts and set it to force 96 dpi. Auto apparently failed.
Perhaps the nvidia driver with HDMI is the bad combo. I still have not found out how to change the fonts in the Log in screen though.
