    Default lacie lightscribe, no way to start it?

    I installed the host and the labeling software. I can't find it in the menu. How do start lacie?

    Can you tell us a little about your setup - version of openSUSE, what
    specific software you installed, etc - that will help someone who can
    help you identify what steps you need to take next.

    I don't think it builds a menu entry (no .desktop file). I've always just started it from a terminal; found it somewhere in /opt.

    You could always make make a desktop entry for it manually.

    Aha! Here it is:
    Code:
    /opt/lightscribeApplications/SimpleLabeler/SimpleLabeler
    Edit: Or just paste that into Alt+F2
    Use the Source, Luke

    I use Lacie4L on my systems, works very reliably.

    I built this file, "LaCie4L.desktop", to provide a GUI interface in my desktop folder (KDE)
    Code:
    #!/usr/bin/env xdg-open
    [Desktop Entry]
    Encoding=UTF-8
    Name=LaCie Lightscribe Linux
    Type=Application
    GenericName=DVD Label Making Program
    Comment=Create professional labels on your DVDs.
    Exec=4L-gui
    Icon=/home/carl/icons/LightScribeIconsm.png
    Terminal=false
    Categories=Application;AudioVideo;DiscBurning;Recorder;
    I made a new icon, theirs was rather dull

    The lacie host software and lacie labeler.

    I found it labeled as "4L" in package manager. No wonder I couldn't find it. I have a short cut now. How do I set the icon?
