    Please help me in setting complex password in SUSE
    like----
    min length 6 char
    max length 12 char
    special char 1
    numeric char 1

    if you mean suse linux 10 as in SLES or SLED

    SUSE 10 is probably the commercial version, SLES/SLED and thus this is the
    wrong forum. Here we talk about openSUSE.

    The question is badly posed. If you want to use passwords like that, just
    type them. If you want to _force_ your users to use those passwords, then
    you have to ask that, which probably means adjusting pam.
