Default VMware Workstation stopped working with Kernel 3.0.4 and up... HELP!!!

Since I upgraded to Kernel 3.0.4, recompiled VMware Kernel Module, I got this error:
(The current kernel version I'm on is: 3.0.6-2.1-desktop , but the error message is the same)

It may be awhile before a solution comes out. There is always
a lag between kernel release and VMware workarounds. If you are
going to be a long term VMware user tread lightly with kernel
updates until you see a solution for running on the latest kernel.

WS Version 8 (Player 4) works on Tumbleweed.

Use newest versions or search VMTN for kernel patches.

    i found a patch here ferzip.com
applied it, everything compiled fine after the patch (before the patch vmsock module could not compiled, linker error)

    but still the same error!!!
is there something wrong with the dbus-deamon??

Nah. The 'patch' you installed didn't patch everything or
doesn't match your installed setup. Personally I don't like
installing patches made available outside of vmware for just
    those reasons.

    On the nose, meierkurt. Thanks!

In a new 11.4 install I had the same error with VMWare Player 3.14, 3.15 & 4.0 - starting haldaemon they all work.
From what I've read somewhere haldaemon came enabled in 11.3, but from 11.4 on it's off.
