Default openSUSE 11.4 KDE 64: Desktop shifted to the right by about 1/4 inch!

    Hi,

I am running openSUSE 11.4 KDE 64 bit. After recent update which includes kernel 3.1.0-rc9-1-desktop, after reboot and logging in my desktop shows up as being shifted about 1/4 inch to the right. As a result, I cannot use the vertical scrollbar. This is quite annoying because every time starting the machine I have to boot into failsafe mode in order to have the desktop normally positioned.

I am not sure if the new kernel has anything to do with the problem. My video card is GeForce 7300 GT, running proprietary Nvidia driver version 280.13 beta.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

You re-installed the nvidia driver after the kernel update?
