Thread: Gnome 3 shutting down

    Default Gnome 3 shutting down

How does one shut down a tablet in Gnome 3. I see there is only a Suspend option. Yet in the Gnome 3 fall back when ATI driver was missing there was a Shutdown option available.

    Well attempting is more correct.

It is the Acer Iconia Tab W501P as i dislike Windows 7. Only problem it uses the ATI GPU so instant unstable environment, just hangs randomly when drawing windows. Wish it had the nVidia Terga GPU that is found in the Acer Iconia Tab A500 (Android version with out docking keyboard). At least nVidia knows how to produce decent drivers for Linux.

Also have to wait for Linus to release kernel 3.1, which will also have support for the USB ethernet on the keyboard. Still trying to find the G-sensor device.

Only really annoying problem is getting the on screen keyboard to appear. Gnome 3 on screen keyboard
