I have installed OpenSuse 11.4, KDE 4.6. In konqueror filemanagement I don’t get fileproperties when hovering over the files with the mouse. Only right click -> properties will give me the properties. Now properties are not too much a concern but it is the preview I want. Dolphin does give me properties and preview.
What can I do to get fileproperties to be displayed while hovering over the files?

AFAIK konqueror doesn’t support showing previews when hovering over files.
But since you don’t need the properties maybe the preview option is good enough.
When enabled konqueror will generate thumbnails of the image files and display them.
To enable select “View” in the toolbar and make sure the option “Preview” is checked.

Today I booted the PC and now I do have the properties and thumbnails. So something needed a restart but I can’t quite find what it was. Anyway, it works now.
