ok, so when you open a terminal, then you must navigate to the folder
where libflashplyer.so exists, or you must give its full path..

    try this:

    - open a terminal
    - log in as root (see http://tinyurl.com/ydbwssh if you don't know how)
    - once root put type this in and press enter:

    Code:
    cp /home/[yourID]/Desktop/libflashplayer.so /usr/lib64/browser-plugins
NOTE: you _must_ replace [yourID] with your user name on the system,
like on my system i would type

    Code:
    cp /home/denver/Desktop/libflashplayer.so /usr/lib64/browser-plugins
if it gives an error message of some kind then tell us what you see!

if all goes well the system will just show a prompt again so close the
    terminal with:

    Code:
    exit
    exit
and then shut down and restart Firefox...and it should work...

Can you post an example or two with a link to a video that will not play in Firefox? Perhaps you might run the mmcheck script to see how well your multimedia is configured?

libflashplayer.so is in the browser-plugins folder.

downloaded and saved mmcheck file went into its folder and typed in terminal chmod +x ~/bin/mmcheck but got no such file or folder then when i typed in the next command mmcheck i got permission denied

still no youttube videos will play, ive tried several different ones

So, for some reason, the bash script did not get placed into your bin folder. If I open up a terminal session and type dir ~/bin/mmcheck, here is what I get.

    Code:
    james@linux-6m6e:~> dir ~/bin/mmcheck
    -rwxr-xr-x 1 james users 20294 Apr 6 18:53 /home/james/bin/mmcheck
If you get an error like this, then the bash script is not there.

    Code:
ls: cannot access /home/james/bin/mmcheck: No such file or directory
You need to reread the instructions and try again. The script could be helpful in finding your multimedia problems. Still did not get any links to some videos you say do not play.
