    Default Lost java after update...

    Hello all,

    I'm running my beloved OpenSuse 11.4 OS with KDE 4. After doing a recent update I lost Java runtime. I have the IceTea add-on installed, but still unable to run java scripts while in Mozilla Firefox 5.0. Prior to the update I was able to run java apps and scripts. I downloaded the lastest JRE 1.6.0_26 and installed it from the terminal emulator using an RPM package. Still unable to run java apps using The official US time (NIST & USNO) and Sun, Moon and Earth Applet as examples. Any ideas?

    Many thanks to all,

    Jet Driver

    Oh, and stop using the updater applet - it's broken

    I noticed the report about the updater app and I strictly use Yast online updater now. Thanks for the link and the prompt reply.

    Many thanks,

    There's a bug report about this:
    https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=702825
    It seems to be considered a high priority item.

    There are also other threads, most noticeably: java missing in SeaMonkey?
    openSUSE Leap 15.1; KDE Plasma 5;
    testing Leap 15.2Alpha
