I recently noticed that my libreoffice doesn’t have the “Record Macro” voice that used to be in OpenOffice Tools -> Macros.
Is that normal or have I installed libreoffice incorrectly?

how could anyone answer if you installed LibreOffice correctly or not if
you didn’t tell us how you installed it??
so, while i can’t actually answer your question directly, i can tell you
that in openSUSE 11.4 i used YaST to remove OpenOffice and tjem install
LibreOffice 3.3.1 OOO330m19 (Build:8) and it has a Tools > Macros
section in the menu…
so, i guess maybe you didn’t install LibreOffice the same way i did…

Sorry if I provided too little info. I thought it was enough at the moment.
I removed OpenOffice with yast and them installed libreoffice in my opensuse 11.3 some months ago.
My libreoffice has a Tools -> Macros section as yours. What it doesn’t have is “Record macro” in that section as OpenOffice used to have.
Really my question was not about my installation. It was: is it possible to record a macro in libreoffice?
If your answer is “yes”, then I’ll conclude on my own that my installation is incomplete. This was my reasoning. Sorry if I didn’t explain it well.
Could you (or somebody else) tell me if you have “Record macro” in Tools -> Macros?
Thanks anyway.

googling libreoffice record macro tells you why.
Don’t worry. I’ve learnt some many things from your posts, that I couldn’t complain even if the misunderstanding had been serious (which is not the case).
OK. Thanks. That’s what I wanted to know
According to what I found googling, “Record macro” should be available if you check “Enable experimental features” in Tools -> Options -> General
But, unfortunately that’s not the case. But I understand that it works in libreoffice for Windows :disapointed:>:(
Thanks anyway, djh-novell
