sorry, i do not understand what it is that you want to do…can you
explain what you mean by “enable workspace”…

to my mind, 11.4’s KDE4.6.0 is born with an enabled workspace–are you
saying you disabled it and want to re-enable??

well, if i open the main menu, and type ‘workspace’ in the search block
i get to click on something named “Workspace - Global options for the
Plasma Workspace.” but i don’t understand what pops up and so wouldn’t
dare touch it!

or, if i click on “Personal Settings - Configure Desktop” (the crossed
screwdriver and wrench/spanner icon) i see a whole row of (seven)
controls grouped under “Workspace Appearance and Behavior”…perhaps
what you are wanting to do is in one of those…but, i can’t guess
which, because i don’t understand what you want to do.

skimming your posting history
<http://forums.opensuse.org/search.php?searchid=766625> i assume you
upgraded from 11.0 to 11.2 and now to 11.4, did this new problem begin
immediately after the move from 11.2 to 11.4?
