Thread: Issues with streamed videos from just a few sites.

    Default Issues with streamed videos from just a few sites.

    I just started experiencing an odd issue with videos being streamed from a few sites. Odd squarish overlays flash over the screen. Often these flashes are where the buffering icon would be, but even if I pause the video and allow it to fully load other ghost squares will appear.

    Some sites never have this issue. For example, youtube, megavideo and wootly's all work fine.

    Here are two screen-shots of the issue from reviews from "Nostalgia Critic" who hosts his videos on blip. The white boxy shapes jump around, resize and move all over the videos.

    Note, it doesn't matter if I view the video from his site, or by going to blip directly and watching there.

    Edit:
    1) Here's a link to the video those 2 screen-shots are from:

    Just to show it's not just his videos, here's another blip channel http://blip.tv/sf-debris-opinionated-reviews

    2) Suse 11.4 || KDE 4.6 || Firefox 4.0.1 (even restarted w/ plugins disabled) || nvidia drivers

    Hi,

    I think the answer to your problem is here if you are on a 64 bits arch : Fix your flash in 11.4 _64 with flash square

    From the way it looks, Ignignokt and Err might have something to do with it.
