I am trying to set up my openSUSE 11.4 VM using VMware Player, but having trouble installing the VMware Tools. The setup script is always complaining about missing kernel headers. I installed them amongst other things Google did recommend, but no luck so far. So I was looking for an alternative. I tried VirtualBox but was not satisfied with it.
I found out about Open VM Tools and installed both application an GUI, but how do I use them? I looked for an application shortcut but it is not listened at my applications. Also I think that the tools are not running because there is no drag and drop functionality available (the projects page said that there sould be). The software manager does list the tools as installed, so I don’t know what to do.
I apprechiate any help. Unfortunately the projects wiki seems to be offline.
