Thread: Regular PC speaker beeps

  1. #1

    Default Regular PC speaker beeps

    Hi!

After update to 11.4 I found that system's PC speaker frequently beeps without any apparent reason.

Why this can happen and how to mitigate this?

This probably indicates some system fault, I just want to know why it beeps.

look in your system sounds settings (Applications and System
Notifications in Configure Desktop on _my_ system--you didn't declare
yours), and see which 'beep' it is you are hearing..

then, you can see what all you have _that_ sound activated against..

then, you can disable each activation until you learn what is causing it..

sorry, i don't know how to learn easier...maybe there is a system sound
    log, somewhere i don't know..

or! maybe it is not coming from your desktop or operating system, but
    rather from your hardware/bios ??

Only if the cable from the board is connected to the sound card.
