Default Back to Single Boot !!!

Hi, I was using Linux Mint Debian Edition with openSUSE 11.4 as dual boot.

I installed LMDE after openSUSE, therefore the Grub was controlled by LMDE.

Unfortunately an upgrade messed up the whole LMDE installation by removing the LMDE's running kernel itself.

I no longer wish to repair the Mint installation so I have already deleted the Mint partition.

I almost went for a clean install of openSUSE but at the last moment decided to give grub restoration a try.

But the problem is the Grub which is presently installed belongs to LMDE.

    How do I restore openSUSE's grub ?

    Follow this guide
Re-Install Grub Quickly with Parted Magic

If you can boot openSUSE now OK
Just do the work from there, no need for Parted M
Just open a su - terminal and follow the directions to find /boot/grub/menu.lst and enter the details acording to your settings and follow the guide

It is not just the time involved, but the risk of mis-translation that could occur. This is an English language forum. If you can't assist with accurate information in English, then please do not respond stamostolias.

And where do I find somebody who can translate this? I do not have Greek translators at hand.

Hmmm. That's difficult for me. Anyway you are right about that. It is a English forum and I must have a English answer for that. Anyway thank you for reminder.

Anyway you can use Google for that, but Greek is a different language. Anyway now to our theme about grub.

After I deleted the Mint partition using the Partitioner in yast, I can no longer boot to openSUSE anymore.

    I am left with this

    grub>

    I am presently downloading pmagic.

One question, can I use it via usb ? Using Unetbootin ?
    openSUSE Leap 15
