It would be helpful to have “Artist” and “Album” colunms while browsing the music directory.
Does exist any file manger (or a Dolphin’s extension or another application) capable of doing that?
thank you

Might I suggest you load EasyTag. It is not installed by default and comes from the Packman repository. If you have not added Packman, then go to YaST / Software / Software Repository and add the URL of: “http://packman.inode.at/suse/openSUSE_11.4/”, not including the quotes. Next, open up YaST / Software / Software Repository and search on easytag, when found select it and elect to install it. Once installed navigate to (in KDE) to menu / Multimedia / Media Editing / EasyTAG. The version comes up as 2.1.6. I also use Amarok to play my music, but EasyTAG gets you what you are looking for.
Thank You,
I’m sure you know that Amarok is not a file manager, though it’s really cool as it is

i know it’s not a file manager, but it shows you the columns you want.
it’s got a “organize files” plugin (right-click on a track). i was under
the impression this could be used to easily re-arrange or organize your
music collection, but trying this out right now i find it rather
confusing…sorry.

just something i noticed the other day, which is along the same lines as what you seek… but not something i use myself. Might be worth investigating:
Hamsi Manager | Murat Demir - MOpeneD
seems specifically for music oriented users, it is also listed on Free Qt Applications - Qt-Apps.org
good luck
