i admit i was trying to relay what i consider is valuable information,
but i wasn't trying to "get the better of you"...there are so many many
who just let the updater have its way...and THEN get surprised...and
some get angry that "openSUSE messed up my system with an update" like
the user has no choice in the matter...

like today, a 11.3 updated wanted to change my kernel....but, i blocked
it because i don't have time right now to deal with what _may_ break if
the kernel is switched....i need this machine over the weekend, so i
will wait a while....do a little backing up here and there...and THEN
let it switch kernels..

also, it wanted to patch samba...which i don't use (no Redmond on my
net), and don't have installed...so, it was gonna install a bunch of new
stuff i do not need or want...
