Default GNOME3: Properties dialogue freezes Nautilus.

    Hi.

Ever since I moved to GNOME3 and every time I mouse right click and select "Properties" in Nautilus, there is no response. In fact it only freezes the browser and I have to force to kill it.

Here is what I get when I run it from the gnome-terminal:
    Code:
    cacho@luisc-sm:~> nautilus
    Initializing nautilus-open-terminal extension

(nautilus:1380): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: specified class size for type `TrackerTagsView' is smaller than the parent type's `GtkVBox' class size

    (nautilus:1380): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion `initialization_value != 0' failed
    Initializing nautilus-gdu extension
    Terminado (killed)
Thanks in advance for any help.

    Regards

    Luis

I've got exactly the same problem - well I did have before Nautilus started crashing on me. I'd like to know the solution to this as well for when I eventually get Nautilus up and running again.

Thats a bug already raised at Novell Bugzilla.

The only known workaround at the moment is to uninstall the package nautilus-extension-tracker-tags.

Thanks Herbwahn, that sorted it for me.

Which is not a very elegant way.... however thanks for your suggestion... I think I can live with this the whole week.

    I agree that it's not elegant :-)
But it seems to be the only way to solve this problem at the moment... Hopefully, the developers are willing to solve it.

I've had this for a while and finally managed to care enough to look for a solution. Removing the RPM does work, and TBH I don't particularly care as I've never knowingly used tracker anyway and certainly don't tag anything (that'd just make me waste even more of my time!)

    Thanks.
