    Default BCM4311 unable to make connection, but can see network

    I think I've read every post here about the Broadcom and connection.
    I thought I tried everything..
    Turns out (read Chapter35.Using NetworkManager) using Connection Manager (K Network Manager) you can not use, what I wanted to use, 'all users, use connection' or said another way, the wifi would be activated and connected Before the user 'logs in'...
    Well, as I said, it turns out that if you are using gnome, this will work with NetMgr, but NOT in KDE.
    If you want to use 'system connect' then you have to use 'traditional' if in YaST2...
    Oh well, at least 'i'm' connected.... (i'm the only user, so not a big deal right now, but would like to get it working...)

    just sayin'

    Landis.

    You might want to check the thread:
    Gave up Knetworkmanager. Made Networkmanager-GNOME work on KDE4!

    That pretty much allows you to do what you wanted to do.
    openSUSE Leap 15.3; KDE Plasma 5.18.6;

    That seems like a pretty convincing reason to use Gnome instead of KDE.
    But I really dislike KDE 4.x so I digress.
